Furikake Chex Mix Encore, Tebasaki Chicken, and Bento

Since I have some stale chex cereals leftover, I decided to use it for another round of furikake chex mix. This time, I added cheerios and nuts. You can go here to see my previous post for the furikake chex mix recipe. This recipe is my #1 hit on my blog, almost close to 600 hits!

The Ultimate Sneak-Away Contest

I have been a big fan of Missy Lapine and her book "The Sneaky Chef" as I have previously mentioned here. I have gotten a copy of this book several years ago and it changed the way I served my veggies at home since. She has since published 3 more books. Who knew veggies can be mixed into normal everyday food? I have raved about this book since the day I got it and I still talk about it today. I have since venture to try hiding veggies in local dishes and I am loving it!

Sweet and Spicy Shrimp

Mr. P caught a couple of fish last week so I decided to do seafood dishes. These shrimps were super delicious with the sauce. And I think I finally mastered the sweet and spicy sauce that you find in most sushi restaurants. So make sure you keep the sauce recipe for sushi purposes!

Turkey Brown Rice and Pearl Barley Jook

This past week has been really cold. So I decided to make some jook again! Jook is chinese rice porridge (although I haven't tried any other rice porridge). I decided to make this as healthy as possible, thus I used turkey, brown rice (Gen Ji Mai) and even added pearl barley! I've posted a recipe previously here. But I didn't have cooked rice and I eliminated the chicken stock. So here is what I did for this jook.

Star Wars Pancakes

I knew going into William Sonoma would only mean breaking my wallet. I end up picking up not just the pancake molds, I also picked up the cookie cutters too. I did however laid my hands off of the apron. Thank goodness!

Miso Salmon

I had two filets of salmon left in my freezer so I decided to make miso salmon.
