Furikake Chex Mix

Safeway had chex cereal on sale so i decided to get them and make some furikake chex mix since I have been buying them at wholesale unlimited for however amt of money it costs. Most of the recipes I've seen used Karo (corn syrup). But I opt for healthier ingredient - honey.

1 cup rice chex cereal
1 cup corn chex cereal
1 cup wheat chex cereal
1 cup pretzel
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup honey
2 tbsp lite shoyu
1 tbsp Worchesterchire sauce
1 jar furikake

Preheat oven 250 degrees. In a small pot, melt butter, brown sugar, and honey (use pam to spray the cup before pouring honey will prevent honey from sticking to the cup). Then add shoyu and mix well. Line 9x13 inch pan with foil, then toss in chex/pretzel mixture, lay it evenly in the pan. Dip a brush into the melted ingredients and brush all over the chex/pretzel, thenk sprinkle furikake on top. Mix it around and put on more melted ingredient and sprinkle furikake until most of them are covered. (over the past i have done the "toss" but I often realized some cereal is strongly flavored while others are not at all, brushing will help evenly distribute the melted mixture.) Put it in the oven and bake for an hour but go back and mix them up every 10-15 minutes so all the cereal can be baked thru. Turn off and leave it in the oven until it cools completely, about 1 hour. Then put them into air tight container. Note: Cooled mixture might be sticking to the pan or to one another, lifting the foil can help break them apart.

Enjoy!
